Stupice Tomato Plant
Stupice (STOO-pee-cheh) is the first ripe tomato of the season — every season. A cold-tolerant Czech heirloom bred for short growing seasons and cool nights, it was practically designed for the Colorado Front Range.
If you've watched your tomatoes drag through August without ripening, Stupice is the fix. Small, intensely flavorful red fruits arrive weeks before anything else in the garden.
- Flavor: Balanced, slightly tangy, classic tomato flavor
- Size: 3–5 oz fruits
- Best for: Fresh eating, salads, early-season harvests
- Colorado note: Cold-tolerant and altitude-proven. One of the best choices for Five Parks, northwest Arvada, and higher-elevation Front Range gardens.
